OPEL SKYLINERS defeated by Brandt Hagen 79:94 (37:44)

In day 5 of the s.Oliver BBL season, the OPEL SKYLINERS lost in Hagen by 94-79 on Sunday afternoon. The Frankfurt team pulled down a total of 51 rebounds. And yet, this could not make up for the fact that they only connected on a poor 37 percent of their attempts from the field.

The contest went off rather even in the beginning until Brandt Hagen pulled away, keyed by a three pointer by Steve Ibens, who finished with 18 points just from the three-point line. The second quarter went to the OPEL SKYLINERS by 15-18, thanks to Andy Kwiatkowski who got going well during this phase of the game. An 8-0 run brought the team around head coach Gordon Herbert back cutting Hagen's lead down to 44-37 at half time. And still, what had already announced itself during the first half, became even more intense after the intermission. Whenever the OPEL SKYLINERS came up, Brandt Hagen answered with successful shots from the 6,25 m line (14-of-25 in total).

From Hagen, Leon Rogers (28 points) and Trevor Huffman (23 points) confirmed the good form of their team. Top scorer of the Frankfurt was Brandon Williams with 17 points. Mario Kasun finished with a double-double (11 points and 13 rebounds). Dominik Hennen injured his knee during the contest.

The quarters: 29-19, 15-18, 21-16, 29-26

After the defeat against Brandt Hagen the OPEL SKYLINERS now rank in the lower mid-range of the s.Oliver league table with 4-6 points.
